Terms of service

Peak stores your photographs at full resolution and lets you rate, tag, caption, search and collect them. Peak is free for now. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you before anything is charged, and nothing will be charged without you choosing a plan.

• You must be at least 16, and the account is for one person — you.
• Give a real email address; we use it to confirm the account and to reach you.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Tell us straight away if you think somebody else has got into it.

You keep every right to what you upload. You give us only the permission we need to run Peak for you: to store your files, make previews of them, work out their colours, duplicates and visual similarity, and show them back to you. That permission ends when you delete them or your account.

We do not show your photographs to anyone else, use them in our own marketing, or use them to train AI models.

• Upload anything you do not have the right to store, or anything illegal — above all, any sexual content involving minors, which we will report.
• Use Peak to harass anyone or infringe their rights, privacy included.
• Try to get into other people’s accounts or data, or around Peak’s security.
• Overload, scrape or disrupt the service, or resell it.

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules.

We take care of your originals, but Peak is not a guaranteed backup. Keep a copy elsewhere of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Peak is young and will change: features will be added, reworked and sometimes removed. We aim to keep it available but cannot promise it will never be interrupted. If we ever close Peak, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email to download your photographs.

You can stop using Peak at any time, and ask us at contact@sorbey.co to delete your account and everything in it. We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms; unless the law or the seriousness of the breach prevents it, we will tell you first and give you time to download your photographs.

Peak is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for loss of data you could have kept a copy of. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, or takes away the rights you have as a consumer.

These terms are governed by French law. If a dispute cannot be settled by writing to us, it goes to the French courts — without affecting your right as a consumer to rely on the law, and the courts, of the country you live in.

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. If a change matters, we will tell you by email before it applies; carrying on using Peak after that means you accept it.
